This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Super dot Film LLC collects, what we do not collect, and how to reach us. It covers the website at https://super.film and the super.film desktop software (the “Software”).
Your payment is processed by Polar Software, Inc. (“Polar”), our merchant of record. Polar has its own privacy policy for checkout, billing, and the Polar customer portal. We do not control Polar’s systems.
1. The short version
The Software edits video on your computer. We do not receive, upload, host, or store your clips or films.
We do not create an account inside the Software for you or for an athlete.
Polar collects the information needed to charge you and issue a license key.
We may receive from Polar the information needed to honor that license: your name, email, billing country, license key, activation state, and subscription status.
We do not sell personal information.
2. What we do not collect
The Software processes your video locally. We do not receive your footage. We do not use your footage to train any model.
A button in the Software may open YouTube or another site in your browser. That site has its own privacy policy. We do not upload your film to that site and we do not receive the film when you do.
3. What we do collect
From Polar, so we can deliver the license
- Name and email used at checkout
- Billing country and, where Polar provides it, billing address
- License key, activation and deactivation events, number of computers activated
- Subscription status, renewal dates, and whether a payment failed or was refunded
If you email us
- The address you write from and whatever you put in the message
- Files you attach. Do not email us game film unless we ask. We do not need it to support the Software.
On the Site
- Ordinary web-server logs (for example, IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time) if the host records them
- Whatever a page asks you to type, such as an email to hello@super.film
We do not run advertising pixels to sell your data. If the Site later uses a basic analytics tool, we will name it here before it goes live.
4. How we use it
- To deliver and honor the license you bought
- To answer support mail
- To send notices these Terms or the law require, including changes to the Terms and subscription reminders Polar does not already send
- To detect shared or abused license keys
- To comply with law, enforce the Terms, or defend a claim
We keep this information only as long as we need it for those purposes — generally the life of the subscription plus a reasonable period for invoices, tax, chargebacks, and legal holds. Polar keeps payment records under its own policy.
5. Who else sees it
- Polar, as merchant of record, for checkout, tax, refunds, and the customer portal
- Providers we use to run email or the Site, only as needed to deliver those services
- A regulator, court, or arbitrator, if the law requires it
- A buyer of the business, if Super dot Film LLC is sold, under this same policy
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Children
The Software is for adults. We do not offer accounts to minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
A parent or guardian may use the Software on their own computer to prepare recruiting material for a minor athlete. That athlete is not our customer. The parent’s checkout information is adult information.
If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it. Write hello@super.film.
7. Your choices
- Cancel the subscription in the Polar customer portal linked from your receipt.
- Email hello@super.film to update the address we use for license and legal notices.
- Ask us what information we have about you, to correct it, or to delete it, subject to records we must keep for tax, fraud, or a dispute.
If you live in a state with a consumer privacy statute (including California), you may also have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those statutes use those words. To make a request, email hello@super.film. We will not retaliate for exercising a privacy right.
California residents may designate an authorized agent. We may need to verify the agent and your identity.
8. Security and international transfers
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures for the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
The Family subscription is offered to customers with a United States billing address. Polar may still process payment data on infrastructure outside your state. Polar’s privacy policy describes that processing.
9. Changes
If we change this policy in a material way, we will post the new version here and update the date. If the change affects a subscription you are already paying for, we will email the Polar checkout address.
